The frame, in a tone reminiscent of driftwood, carries the soft, silvery hues of time, with paint that’s handsomely worn, revealing layers of history beneath its surface. This natural patina lends the piece a soulful, timeworn elegance that can only be achieved through centuries of age.

The mirror’s carved detailing is unmistakably Baroque, with flourishes and ornamentation that showcase the artistry of its Italian origins. The inscription at bottom, “GESU INCONTRA LA SUA CROCE” suggests the frame originally surrounded a painting of a religious nature.
