Expertly crafted from cut-rattan, with an inlaid rattan top, complemented by s-curve legs and a cruciform base. This perfectly in-between size table, often referred to as a lamp table, makes for both an ideal end table or a bedside table when space is at a premium.

The Art of Wickerwork

Natural Rattan

Our rattan collection celebrates the ancient art of wickerwork, which has been practiced for thousands of years. Ancient Egyptians made chairs of natural rush, while craftspeople in China and India worked with cane; medieval Europeans often utilized willow, and later mimicked the caning techniques of China. Later, the Arts & Crafts movement celebrated the handmade qualities of these furniture traditions, from which time wickerwork has remained a casual and stylish addition to any interior. Our collection uses the natural fibers of the rattan palm.

The whole idea for me to design furniture came from what I couldn’t find. Mostly, end tables—I’m always designing an end table! So many of my designs come from the things that I spend hours looking for.
