  • 80.5"W x 33.5"D x 30"H
  • Seat: 23.5"D x 18"H
  • Arm: 30"H
  • Kiln-dried solid maple frame with double-doweled joints and corner blocks for superior strength.
  • Eight-way hand-tied coil spring suspension with a solid webbed base.
  • Spring down cushions featuring individually wrapped steel coils with uniform weight distribution, downproof ticking and generous fill of down, feathers and fiber. These cushions pair the comfort of down with a slightly firmer and more tailored appearance.
  • Handcrafted and upholstered in the USA.

A generously proportioned sofa with high back and sides to help ward off drafts, the classic 17th century Knole settee was originally created for monarchs to use when welcoming important guests. While thoroughly modern with its wide bun feet and over-sized nailheads, our version is just as inviting and most likely more comfortable.

Our Made-to-Order Upholstery Guide

Our custom upholstery pieces are crafted in North Carolina—the heart of American upholstery tradition. Every upholstery piece begins with a kiln-dried solid maple frame, reinforced for superior strength and stability. Many of our designs feature eight-way hand-tied coil spring suspension—a hallmark of fine craftsmanship. Your choice of fabric, leg finish, and nailhead finish are then applied.

You can't look at sofas, tables and chairs in isolation: you have to look at them in relation to all the other furniture in the room if you are going to create spaces that are balanced, nuanced, and harmonious.
