The pearl, with its extraordinary luster and shape, inspired this ceramic lamp. Its drop-shaped body tapers at the neck, where the rich glaze reveals--just slightly--red undertones which give depth to the white glaze belly. The ceramic body is capped with brass, supported by a carved gold base. A beautiful lamp for both neutral interiors and those with lots of color needing a more subdued element.

The Beauty of Hand Glazed Ceramics

Due to the handcrafted nature of each ceramic lamp and natural reactions within the kiln, no two forms or glazes are exactly alike. Each lamp is a unique work, and slight variations in size and glaze from piece to piece are expected and embraced. We do our best to make sure that multiple lamps in a single order are as similar as possible.

Our gilded bases continue the tradition of applying gold or silver leaf atop a warm layer of reddish clay bole. Red will peek through the gilding in some instances, adding warmth to the overall finish.

The lighting in any room creates a strong impression. Lighting must come from several sources in a room. Sometimes we want to create a mood, and other times we need all the light we can get.
