This is an abstract etching by artist Jean Capdeville entitled Traces circa 1970, framed in a vintage gilded wood frame. Original etching, aquaforte and aquatinte, signed in pencil on the lower righthand.

About the Artist: Jean Capdeville (French, 1917–2011) exhibited his works most notably at the Musée National d’Art Moderne (Centre Pompidou) in Paris. His works are held in prominent collections such as the Centre Pompidou, the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, and various regional French museums. Capdeville participated in significant salons and exhibitions in postwar France, including the Salon de Mai.
