We've taken our best-selling pheasant feather glaze and applied it to our new barrel-form garden stool. A perfect way to bring this favorite glaze into your home.

This stool’s one-of-a-kind glaze takes inspiration from traditional sancai or tri-colored glazes. Since sancai glazes were prone to running during the firing process, colors often mix together to create an effect similar to the one achieved here.

The Beauty of Drip Glazes

Due to the handcrafted nature of each ceramic stool and natural reactions within the kiln, no two forms or glazes are exactly alike. The unpredictable nature of traditional drip glazes ensures that while the overall effect can be consistent, each stool is a unique work, and slight variations in size and glaze from piece to piece are expected and embraced. This is an ethos that we embrace by working with artisans who still practice traditional glazing techniques.

We do our best to make sure that multiple stools in a single order are as similar as possible.

Small tables are a must. Make sure that each person has one near him or her as a place to put their drink down.
