The classical silhouette of our Pheasant Feather lamp adds a graceful, subdued ambiance to any side table. The lamp’s ceramic vase is hand-painted in warm brown tones before a final glazing and firing to produce this stunning allover pattern. It is then set on a gilded wedding band base.
Recommended lampshade size: 18" x 9"x 13" Slope. Lampshade not included.

The Beauty of Drip Glazes

Due to the handcrafted nature of each ceramic lamp and natural reactions within the kiln, no two forms or glazes are exactly alike. The unpredictable nature of traditional drip glazes ensures that while the overall effect can be consistent, each lamp is a unique work, and slight variations in size and glaze from piece to piece are expected and embraced. This is an ethos that we embrace by working with artisans who still practice traditional glazing techniques.

We do our best to make sure that multiple lamps in a single order are as similar as possible.

Our gilded bases continue the tradition of applying gold or silver leaf atop a warm layer of reddish clay bole. Red will peek through the gilding in some instances, adding warmth to the overall finish.

The lighting in any room creates a strong impression. Lighting must come from several sources in a room. Sometimes we want to create a mood, and other times we need all the light we can get.
