White is a neutral, but as a finish can feel overbearing without refinement. Our Radnor desk features a beautiful milk-white finish with visible wood grain. Semi-translucent light gray speckling, as might be found on a seagull’s egg, adds depth and character. The legs and stretchers feature an unusual fretwork pattern with a contemporary feel, and sit atop playful ball feet.

I look for the integrity of a design, the quality of the craftsmanship, the precision of the finish (or a faded patina), which give a piece of furniture its soul.
